Typical expense:
USB cable (1 meter length) starts at nearly £2.00 ($4) then expect to pay a further £1.00-2.00 ($2-$4) per meter thereafter.
Cable information:
Make sure your new PC and the peripherals you wish to join are USB-cable compliant. All of the products listed in the USB products handbook have passed a set of tests certain by the creators of USB. Loads of peripherals are shipped with USB cables but always double check with the retailer before you hold. It is now possible to extend the habitual 5 Metre array of a USB cable with a USB cable extension lead. USB extension leads are up to 5 Meters in length and up to 3 may be coupled together giving a total length of 20 Meters (inc. the original cable).
