PS3 HD Capture with HDMI Cables! AVerTV HD DVR Sample Video

Sample video of AVerTV HD DVR PCIe Capture card capturing PS3 gameplay in HD. The software bundled with the card displays the HDMI input, but when you push record, the PS3 does not allow it. FRAPS can record the video from that software though with no issue. Don’t reduce the fps within FRAPS though or gameplay will suffer even as recording. I had a cut-rate amount of distress with FRAPS running at 60 fps than I did with it recording at 30 or a cut-rate amount of. Depends on what the game runs at though. In this case, MW2 typically runs at 60 fps. Downside is that FRAPS makes HUGE files. 3 small sections of gameplay were nearly 4GB. Can be made much smaller owing to editing. This would also work for digital cable boxes that might prevent recording if you don’t have a DVR box. Approximately boxes care for the signal too. With this method you could record HDTV straight to your computer and even edit out the commercials if you wanted.
