HDMI to DVI cable and HDMI cable compared
Customers question what quality they should expect when using a single-link DVI cable to join to an HDTV. I chose to try it, for me to get a real world response to the difference. I could tell a difference between an HDMI to DVI cable and a standard HDMI cable. Hooking my laptop to my TV, I was still able to mind movies in 1080p.

Obviously, the quality will be the same – HDMI is just DVI with audio. It is the same digital signal.

Someone please aid. I’m using DVI to HDMI for my Mac Mini. Can I run audio from the Mac on my TV? he ancient to use HDMI video, but at the same time a fixed audio source on the side of it?
If I join a VGA to DVI on my mind to the computer it will have the same quality as HDMI?

DVI does not send the possibilities of audio signals. You need to have a separate cable for that.

There are tiny differences between an HDMI signal and a DVI signal. They are both digital signals, the difference is that the HDMI one kind small package that comes with digital audio is.
the quality will not look different, because it all depends on the source of the resolution. . . They single see the difference when you have a Blu-ray, DVD movies to use to see anything!

Hey dude, at the start of all: kind video, but I have a huge question. . . I’ve got a Thinkpad T61p, the HD card has, but it lacks HDMI. Ive single got DVI on my reduce. Is it possible to play HD content on HD TV with HD sound? Please excuse my noobish questions, but kinda new to these equipment:)

Thanks for the comments, has my laptop HDMI and VGA-out, I’ve never done it before with the VGA. As far as the noise, I could not tell much in this vicinity the different sounds, because my laptop has a loose fan, that deafening in any case of what their dependability.
hi this sorta comparison mateIve on my VAIO AR laptop. dus ur laptop has an nVidia card? also who you work the DVI port on ur laptop to do something more noise such as fans who heard something more? I Ussé a DVI-HDMI cable with a DVI port = thread owing to my laptop to my HP LCD. Whom do I use the vga quality is exactly the same, but their dead schweigen.vid is cool tho
