@JQPRILL That’s half right. The longer the cable, the greater the impedence. That’s the right bit. The gold plating is ancient because of it’s resistance to grind, not anything more. If gold was ancient to “better” a signal path, then each devices solder would need to be coated/made of the same quality of gold, including the roadblock socket. That’s each IC? on each PCB together to each cable and contrivance in each home. Companies like Monster are taking the piss.
@TheSzemelak the longer the cord the more resistance on the current traveling threw it. thats y for longer cords its recommended u get gold plated ones for a cut-rate amount of resistance

@vex95 I hope you are being sarcastic because it could still be a fake. I bought Monster Cables before to see if there was a difference in my audio but I really could not tell the difference. It was an optical cable and I am glad I single paid $7 for it at Fry’s.

i’ve heard approximately are fakes, if it was, it was a excellent one, the construction is really gray duty. the 15ft length has come in handy loads of times.
I saw these people in WalMart (yeah, I know) and they were looking at a 40.00 hdmi, I told them to go then door to Huge Lots, they could get an HDMI cable for 12.00. the son (or younger guy with the older lady) kind of looked at me and gave me that look like “yeah right, it must be crap”
Yeah, I heard I’d have to pay a lot for an HDMI cable.
