component cable

Typical cost:
Component cable leads (1 meter) start at around £12.00 ($20) then expect to pay a further £3.00-12.00 ($5-$16) per meter thereafter, depending on the quality required to match your hardware budget.

Cable advice:
Component cables only carry the video signal, audio connections must be made using a separate connection. Component cables are best purchased with gold connectors (commonly available) to help lower the impedance and improve the image on the screen. It is best to use a component video cable when connecting a DVD player or recorder to your TV, plasma or LCD Panel. To make the right connection spend time checking your system as the appropriate outputs.
